Date taken : 1906 Description : It is not difficult to determine that the Men in this photo are not wearing Canadian Army uniforms, yet on the back of this photo it states, "Vernon Palmer in the Canadian Army." Vernon is seated with an unidentified male standing at his side. Vernon Palmer left the Port Clinton, Ohio area shortly after this photo was taken and it is said that his sister, Mildred Eloida Palmer never saw him again. The photo's border states Port Clinton, Ohio.
Mystery : The mystery surrounding this photo is the identity of the man standing at Vernon Palmer's side, the fact that they are in street clothes and photo states "in the Canadian Army", also, Vernon left the Port Clinton area about 1906 and was not heard from again.
