At age 16 & 9 mos. Harry Ankney Dennis joined the Navy. Following is info found at Ancestry.com's Military & Naval Serv ice Records: USN 4/11/17 app sea; sea 2c 4/22/17, Recg Ship Norfolk Va; USS Nevada 4/30/17; Recg Norfolk Va. 9/8/17; SS Minnesotan 1/3/18; Recg Ship Norfolk Va 2/18/18; USS Maui 3/3/18, Honorable discharge.
If you have further info concerning Harry Ankney Dennis please contact me. I went to Rose Hill looking for the grave of John Jackson Dennis, his wife & family but apparently his grave is unmarked. I took pictures of the Dennis graves in the location we were given. Don't know how Harry connects with John, if at all.
