Direct Descendant of John Stout of Nottinghamshire, England. Son of Ephriam & joicey Reid Buckley Stout.
Captain in the Union Army, Co. E., 9th Ky. Infantry. Awarded a Medal of Honor for Shiloh.
Later appointed by the Gov. as head of the Militia in Barren co. Ky.
