Description :
Several years ago my grandmother and uncle were at the Liberty Cemetery in Gould, OK taking photos of family tombstones. This photo was taken at the same time and it is unknown why. One of the relatives they took a photo of was Josie Lee (Mollie) Murphy Smith - wife of Thomas H. Smith. Mollie was born in 1882 - the same year as this James Newton Morris.
Mystery :
I am not sure why this photo was taken - because he is somehow connected to our family or if they just wanted to save the poem on the stone. Does anyone know who this James Newton Morris was?
