Marriage License Sherfesee family photo

Marriage License

Wedding license of William Forsythe Sherfesee to Emily Maria Borie Ryerson. Forsythe was Emily's 2nd husband. Her first was lost in the sinking of the Titanic (A. L. Ryerson). After they married in Chicago, the settled on Cape Ferrat St. Jean AM France (French Riveria). Their next door neighbor was the famous author, Wm. Somerset Maughaum who moved in about the same time. The Sherfesee villa name was Villa Bontoc (Probably named because Uncle Forsythe had worked for the US Forestry Dept in the Phillipines)
