Hi Jackie,
How exciting to get a comment. Most Tarpleys migration came from VA>TN>MS>TX. From TN, some Tarpleys went up to Il and may have gone into MO from there. Do you have any earlier names? We have MyFamily.com surname site called "Tarpleys in the USA." Would you like to be added? It is a private site where you can add photos, files, news, etc. In the meantime, till I hear from you, I will search the MO census'. I am at TXrearch@earthlink.net.

I am interested in the Tarpley surname. I have a photo of a baby, labeled Frank Tarplay, from Gentry County, Missouri. Thken about 1900.
