St. Anne's in Virginia

Mystery :
My father, Jack Harger Crews, attended this "St Anne's" when he was a boy. (He is the one in the white shirt, in center between first & second row with blond hair). I'd love to know exactly what St. Anne's was----a private school??--industrial school??---or what??? And would anyone know exactly where in Virginia it was located??? (I have assumed around Ashland, but I could be wrong). Does anyone know anything about St. Anne's???
