This was a picture postcard sent to my grandmother, Kate Harger, of Madison, NC by her dear friend and relative, Thomas Ruffin Pratt, Jr., (also of Madison, NC.) who was in medical school at the time. It is believed to be at the University of Maryland, as I have another card specifically from that place from Ruffin Pratt also. Ruffin Pratt is the young man on the very end of the first row(right side) with his hands together. The fellow with the "X" over his head was Ruffin's roommate(name not mentioned). Ruffin went on to become a doctor, and practiced medicine in Hollywood, Ca. and other places in California. He is buried in San Luis Obispo, Ca.
