Picture of Charles Edward and Susanna Marshall Crews, of Forsyth Co. NC. (From a copy). This was believed to have been taken at the same time their youngest daughter, Mary Ellen Crews had her wedding picture taken for her marriage to Thomas Jefferson Styers. C. Edward and Susanna (called Sukie) had the following children: Susan Katherine Crews Flynt Davis, Rev. Rufus William Crews, Joseph Edward Crews, James Sidney Crews, Matthew John Crews III, Millie Ann Crews Styers, Walter Crews, and Mary Ellen Crews Styers. C. Edward was born in Halifax Co. Va., to Matthew John I and Susan Reves (Reeves) Crews. Susanna was a daughter of Thomas Riley and Milly Waggoner Marshall of Forsyth Co. NC. (The part of Forsyth that used to be Stokes Co.) C. Edward was a farmer, mainly of tobacco.
