Description :
Ruth (Bowling) Parsley and her sister, Nancy (Bowling) Brummett in about the early-mid 1910's in Clay County (or Laurel County), Kentucky. The daughters of Alex Bowling and Lucinda (McFadden) Bowling. Ruth was born in 1898 and Nancy was born about 1900. In the photo Ruth is the one in the all polka dot dress with her hand on her hip.
The original photograph is owned right now by my aunt, Shirley (Tuttle) Scholl, a granddaughter of Ruth.
