Comments about this photo:
My DVORAKS came from a tiny town called Dudin which is in the Czech Republic, southeast of Nelahozeves which is where Antonin DVORAK, the great composer, came from, in 1841. This is only 8 years before the year of birth of my great grandparents, Vaclav and Mary, who, by the way, were both DVORAKs before they married each other. They were married in Bohemia (Today, the Czech Republic), and they left with Frank and Vaclav, their two eldest sons, in 1881, arrived in Hamburg, Germany, and boarded ship SS Frisia, to travel to America, arrived at the port of New York City. From there, they took a train all the way to Muscoda, Grant County, Wisconsin, where they then made their homestead until the day they died, having on the way, two more sons, Joseph John, and William Joseph, who was my grandfather. Grandfather left Muscoda after WWI and was in South Bend, Indiana, by 1926. There, he engaged, and married Eulalia Suzanne NIESEN, where they had 4 children, 3 boys, one girl. Their second eldest son was my father, who survives today. Also surviving is one brother, and their sister. I have very many cousins, aunts and uncles, from the marriage of my father and my mother. Sadly my grandparents, Eulalia, and William, died many years ago, back in the 1970s and 1980s.
