John Calhoun Beam was born 1852 in Shelby County Texas. His Parents were Ezekiel & Elizabeth Beam ... Mason, Tex. census 1870.
He was a Texas Ranger 1870-1871 under Capt. James M. Hunter Company I Frontier Forces.His brother Jesse was also a Texas ranger who married Sally Monk. E. Beam was also a Texas Ranger at the same time, I believe this to be Ezekiel father of these two Rangers.
