This photo of Louisa Rothrock Dieffenbacher was found in San Jose, CA. Back of photo states "My mother- Louise Rothrock Diefenbacher..deliver to George Diefenbacher, #211 W. St. James St., San Jose".
This is NOT my family, but research shows the Diefenbacher family as residing in San Francisco in the 1900 US Census. Family later located in 1910 US Census in San Jose, living on W. St. James St. Louisa born in CA circa 1855. Census lists that both her parents are from Germany. She married George Diefenbacher (a barber) around 1879, they had 7 children, 6 living at time of 1900 census.
Would like to connect this lovely lady with her family...will send photo (free) to proven family member.
