Uncle John J. Iulo - birth: May 28, 1895- death: January 23, 1963. He was the second born of Great-Grandparents Pietro and Evangeline (D'Urso) Iulo. In 1927 he ran for Kings County Assemblymen and won.
He also owned John J. Iulo - Funeral Home at 6908 13th Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, phone no. Beach 2-1801. Josephine (Bruno) his wife was the first woman Funeral Director. There was a wonderful story printed in the New York Times on August 26, 1929, Uncle John paid for a baby's funeral because the family could not afford it and the child would have gone to Potter's Field.
