Location Of The Bank Sam Bass & His Gang Planned To Rob
|
Date taken : March 2006 Description : This building is located in downtown Round Rock, Texas at 118 East Main Street, which is reported to have been the address of the Miller's Exchange Bank that Sam Bass and his gang planned to rob July 19, 1878. Instead of being next door to the general store they had entered to get supplies and to case the bank, as most other sources claim, this building is across the street, at the other end of the block. Today it is a restaurant. I do not know whether the building has the same style as the original building had.
