Pvt. James Madison Hinkle

Date taken : 1862 Description : James Madison Hinkle Sr. was born January 4 1831 in Buncombe, North Carolina, died July 20, 1909, Whitley County, Williamsburg, Kentucky. son of William & Susannah (Treadway) Hinkle. Laid to rest in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Whitley County, Williamsburg, Kentucky. The land the church & cemetery is located on was donated by JAMES MADISON & MARY "POLLY" (TAYLOR) HINKLE, James 2nd wife. James was a Pvt. and played the fluted while serving in the The Civil War Co., E. 32ed Kentucky Vol. Infantry Regiment. Enlisted December 24, 1862 to August 12, 1863.
As for when the picture was taken, I am guessing somewhere when he enlisted or there after the Civil War, but really not sure. If anyone knows for Just Let Me Know.
