My grandmother, Gertrude Croakman Battaglia, was born in Buffalo, NY and married my grandfather, Anthony L. Battaglia. They both died in 1954, and are buried in a cemetery just outside Buffalo. My aunt Gertie married a Hynson and moved to California in the 1950s, I think.
