Annette and Marie Coon, Daughters of Arlie C. Coon and Lelia (Murray)

Description :
On the left is Annette "Nettie" Coon, born 3 Sep 1904, and on the right is her older sister Marie Coon, born 30 Sep 1903, both born in Colorado. They were the daughters of Arlie C., who died in 1911, and Lelia (Murray) Coon, who died in 1906. After the deaths of their mother, they were taken in by their maternal grandparents, James Ellison and Elizabeth Melissa (Carl) Murray, who by 1910 were living in Idaho. In March, 1911, James took Annette to live with her paternal aunt, Mrs. George (Alice Coon) Jess, in Randolph, Wisconsin. Marie was raised by Charles and Clara (Murray) Dearing, her maternal aunt and her husband. Annette married a Clarence Pluckhan, and they raised their family in Juneau, Wisconsin, whereas Marie stayed in Idaho, married a Mr. Greenwood, and never had children.
