Description :
This photo was one of three unknown comrades of Col John L. Haynes, who served in the Civil War as a Union Commander of a cavalry regiment, despite being a resident of Laredo Texas. The collar brass clearly shows an Eagle medallion.
It was found in his folder in the Center for American history, The University of Texas at Austin in Box # 3T105 Folder [AR 86-9]
