Description :
They first lived in Fairfield County, then they moved to Sandusky County, Ohio. In 1852 they settled on 240 acres of only partly cleared land. Peter was a Democrat and served in many township offices. He supported the German Reform Church.

Their children were: Henry M., George W., J. Monroe, Lewis, Levi, Malinda O., Melinda, Mariam, Mary A., Peter, Rebecca, & Samuel S..

After moving to Washington Township, Sanducky County, Ohio, Peter and Mary built a large two-story framehouse and had a circular stairway that went from the basement up to the deck of the roof. It also had a beautiful parlor on the first floor. Peter and Mary's son, Jacob Monroe King, raised all of his children here and lived in the family house his whole life.
