Well the photo states that this is "Pauline Smith with 4 of her 9 Grandchildren"... taken on her "85th Anniversary"
I have a few of this woman with her family and they were in a box of my Hain family photos. I have no record of a Pauline Smith. She's likely to be from Michigan or Indiana. Anyone have any further clues? Contact me.

I might have a clue. Could she have been born about 1853-54? Did she live in her later years in Oklahoma? If so, she could be Perlina / Polina / Pauline A. SMITH, a daughter of Christeny / Christiana McLAIN b abt 1830 in TN and James SMITH b about 1830 in KY, who made their home in Eastern AR, in Lawrence Co AR, town of WAlnut Ridge. The Polina / Perlina / Pauline Anna SMITH I am talking about married 1879 to a John Thomas TEWELL, but from the mid 1880s, they used the surname SMITH.
