Caramel Dumplings

Sauce:
2-1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. white sugar
2 tsp. butter
3 c. boiling water
Mix in 9”x13” pan. May be worked for a while to make thick.

Dumplings:
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. white sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sweet milk
2 tbsp. melted butter
Mix like cake batter. Drop dumplings onto pan in sauce. Don’t let touch. Bake 350º.
