THIS RECIPIE HAS BEEN HANDED DOWN FOR AT LEAST FOUR GENERATIONS. It is enough to feed 8 people and is a 1 course meal. start with 5 lbs boiled potatoes 1/2 head lettuce(or more)1 lb.bacon 1dz. boiled eggs,1 lg. sweet onion(diced). iIn a large pan(and I mean LARGE)mash spuds,chop eggs and mix in,remove bacon from pan(leave grease in pan to stay hot)mix all but lettuce togather.SHOVE A DIP OR BOWL LIKE DEPRESSION IN SPUDS.Place lettuce in hollow and pour hot grease over to wilt.mix well add vinager to taste.(an important ingredant that i forgot to list) salt and pepper to taste ENJOY
