Both of my fathers parents were born here in the United States. I was told that durring the depression they each returned to their home country.
My granfather Frank Severinski went to Yugoslavia, I know this to be true because I have a copy of his passport. My grandmother Anita Andreolli went home to Italy. This info also came f rom her passport.
I am not sure exactly how they met. An old story is that they met in Detroit Michigan. At the time, my grandma worked at a bar that grandpa went to.
I have not been able to confirm that story because they have both passed on and I just recently became interrested in my family history. A copy of there marriage certificate has not been found.
In the 40's they had 2 sons, my father Victor and Paul . My father is still with us but ,his brother is not. Victor has 2 daughters, myself and Jamie.
Paul had 3 sons, Paul Jr., Patrick and Phillip.
I do not have much more information. I know where Frank's parents were from and when they were married, there is a copy of their marriage cert. in my collection. I also know the names of Anita's Parents, but not much more than that.
If they each had siblings, I know nothing about them.
I have what I remember as a child and very little documented information.
I wonder if there is someone else who could help me with my research.
