Much appreciated was an article sent to me from Yorkshire,Eng.It mentions my Grandmother's brothers during wartime.
WINDHILL SOLDIER WOUNDED;
Driver R.Gooderham of the Royal Field Artillery,who was wounded with shrapnel at Givenchv on Sept.25 has arrived home on furlough,after having been in hospital at Dublin.He had only been on active service about a month when he was wounded.The vicinity of his home in Mountain St. was gaily bedecked with bunting on the occasion of his arrival.
He has two brothers with the Colours.Walter James Gooderham(Duke of Wellington's)is a prisoner of war,and Herbert Gooderham(LANCASHIRE fUSILIERS)
is at Salisbury Plain. the end
