On October 14, 1899, Vincent (4yrs) came through NY port on the SS. Palatia-Hamberg, leaving Suvalki, accompanied by Mother Agata B. 1872; and brother Joseph (7yrs). Also Martin Markul, who latter married (?) Agata to have: Martin, Helen and Lucy, and reside in St. Louis, MO. I don't know if Ggrandma was widowed and remarried Martin or if he is grandpa's father? At any rate the family name was changed to Walasin, and grandpa changed it yet again to Wallison. I am looking for my "roots". Because of the history of the area of Suvalki, I don't know where to start my search: Lithuanian, Polish, Russian?
