The Lada-Zablocki family is an old aristocratic (magnate) family from Poland.
The founder of the family was a knight of the coat of arms "Jastrzebiec", owner of Lada in Masowia. The legend says, that in 1248, exactly this knight saved King Boleslaw's life. Therefore he got an increase in his coat of arms and from now on the coat of arms was calles "Lada". The Zablocki branch of the Lada-family is first mentioned in the year 1500. The family's noble origin was confirmed in 1782, 1808 and again in 1848. Important members of this family are: Franciszek Zablocki: born 1750, died 1821; comedy writer and politician Tadeusz Zablocki: poet Kazimierz Zablocki: died in 1824; captain of the princely army of Warsaw The Lada-Zablocki family is the family of the proverbial "Zablocki na mydle". Many family members were killed in World War 2, even more were deported to Sibiria during the Sovjet regime. After World War II, most aristocratic families in Poland were dispossessed by the Sovjet regime, so was the Zablocki family. Today, the descendants of Helena Zablocka, h Lada (parents: Antonia and Franciszek Zablocki, h Lada) live in Vienna/Austria and Warsaw/Poland.
