Hello to Harry and Jo,
I was searching through family history and found your story and history of the Vallance family. My great-great grandfather was Samuel Henry Vallance of Ky then Missouri. As I understand it, they had 9 children which included Ida Belle, Minnie, Luella, Cordia Mae, Edward, William, James and Sidney , I am not sure of the last one.

My great-grandfather was Walter Freeman Morss and Ida Belle Vallance my great-grandmother. My Grandpa was Frank James Morss born in Patterson, MO. My Grandpa moved later to Illinois from Mo., but my Dad Ralph Morss was born in Patterson or Piedmont, Mo.

I suppose that makes my grandpa's mom(Ida Belle) a sister to your relative Sidney Anna Vallance. Are you from the James side? She married a James I believe. That would make William Franklin James my grandpa's Uncle.

If you have any info more than what I have on this side of my family I would appreciate it. Thanks, Connie Morss Knight

I came across your family questions this morning. My Famly Tree Maker has your Great Grandfather Waleter Freeman Morss and Grandmother Ida Belle Vallance. However I don't have your Grandfather Frank James Morss listed as their child. Is your Grandfather Frank James Morss a child of Walter Freeman and Ida Belle Vallance? If so I would appreciate the information on him and your Grandmother with their children (which would be your father) to add to the family tree. You can contact me at harryandJo@yahoo.com. Thanks
