MY VALLANCE family are connected to the Weymouth & Wyke Regis area of Dorset, England.
At times the name was shown as Vallens, Valence and Vallance. My great great grandmother would be Susannah Valence born Wyke Regis in 1810. (Daughter of James & Margaret {nee MABB} } Susannah married Richard BAKER in Kent and after the birth of Elizabeth Ann BAKER they moved to Weymouth where they can be found in the 1861 Census. In the 1870's they were living at No. 1 Hope Street, Weymouth where they can be located in 1881. In 1875, Elizabeth married William J. S. ZELLEY.
