I stumbled across this site while trying to create a blog for family events. My family comes from the Chakwal,(Dhanni)area of Punjab ,Pakistan.Family lore has it that the first Kahut sailed as a commander in the army of Mohammad bin Qasim .I dont know for sure but Kahut is a sub tribe of the Quraish of Mecca, the tribe of the Holy Prophet p.b.u.h.
Interesting to know that there are Germanic and even irish Kahuts!
