Family Milko

See box Milko on ancient faces and origin in Pongrac family.

Genealogy Ruzek

My hypotesis is based on what I heard from Ruzicky that they come from Rosenberg/Rozenberg, if I good remember what should be Rozmberg as I heard that Ruzek came from Bohemia 1620 and history of Modra says many families comes from Bohemia 1620 to Modra. Ruzicky should be Jewish-noble family. Eixst book last Rozmberks says probably that they died, I do not remember, but it is said that some families died and they did not die, because other branches did not die, for example poorer or not propagated or so famous branches, also historics did not give them to history yet. This is valid surely for more families. Ruza and Rose is the same in German. Roses are plural as ruze in Slovak. Person from family Ruzicky I met was from Bratislava.

Family Bartos

See more www.ancientfaces.com/research/stories/Bartos
family Bartos is that Bartos Miloslav had brother from second marriage of his father, he had probably two sons, one I know personaly and ohter not, his brother I never met personaly, 3 Bartoses I know had properties in Stainbach, what I research families, Stein, Bach and Steinbach in locality Modra and international family history, properties were moved from some part, changed, but I saw no documents about changes and just such where is no change from circa 1958 and seeing that Steinbach/Stampoch is not named after stone brook which there flows as said ancestors, I see that it is named after noble family or two familes.
Andrej Pochessy from Modra was one of brothers of Ctibor of Ctiborice and brothers divided Modra to possesions, should be probably from Stibor of Stiboric /Ctibor of Ctiboric, famous noble owning many castles and properties for example Beckov/, owner of Modra or Orsagh, I have to chech genealogy, I now forgot, it will be changed, this is only hypotesis. Who know who owned locality Stampoch let to tell. So I do not know connecting of Steinhubel with Steinbach in history, I think I remember in history of Modra Bach.

Family Simko

Circa 1567 miller Simko-Synko Miller sold the mill to Valentin Weber. /Synko is in Slovak as son, son is syn, synko is smaller word from syn and here I suppose it is surname as it is great letter, as exist surname Synovec and similar surnames, Synovec means nephew./

Bible I got from antique shop gratis had notices I try to write, other places is written in history of Modra:

citizen Weber gets from Trnavian miller Simko mill to the pledge for 500 gold, Weber did not want from Simko accept the debt and he leaved himself the mill, Simko appelled at the ruler, who commanded to the town council in Modra to revise the matter and right judge. Later hit to this matter governor, similar disputes had Weber with other people in Modra about vineyards and other property, in case of judge hit he appelled at the ruler or at governor and so he reached his goal, to increase the property, thank to his property he reached also to town council and has influence also on management of the town, till in later time he will not stand against the town, what has for him evil results.

Family Valachovic and I suppose also Valach, therefore here is hypotesis that Valach comes from Valachovic and Bible notices is the source:

From old Bible I got in one antique shop gratis and here is what I could read and what was possible to read:

Pavel Valachovic

Johann Valachovic

Pena Juma Poplovi Valachovicovi

1871 Ba 186?

This book belongs to Pavol Valachovic

Lord God our Almighty

then also in other text was something as Lord God Almighty

Valachovic

Valachovic Michal

1806 Pavel Valachovic

Family Steinhubel

From other book I got from grandfather, Cithara Sanctorum, Religious songs is written:

31.1.1914

Steinhubel Zuzana *1899

Steinhubel Zuzana Bartos Anna faithful friends

Family Mesik, Dubovsky, Hajicek, Hyl, Lauda, Kuchta and others

L. Stur often visited Jozef Dubovsky and his brother parson, he had contacts also with town captain Samuel Mesik and mayor /mestanosta/ Hajicek, in last days of his life took care for him simple citizens of Modra, for example: Daniel Lacny, Jozef Kuchta, Ondrej Lauda, Michal Hyl.

1884 the library found by Kasino from gifts of members by J. J. Mayer, A. Filipek, M. Hajicek, Samuel Bukva

Family Voda, Izak

With Modra is joined also town Dobra Voda, recovered the memorial to Holly. So surname Voda can come from this place, derived from town, so could be noble family Voda and this is my hypotesis based on knowledge about creation of surnames in Slovakia. 1875 teacher Izak, Voda and their followers

Hypotesis are in professional literature often.

Family Liska, Geduly

Church magazine Evanielik under the leading of known hungarizators Liska and Geduly.

Family Kraic, Rapos

Beginning of 20. century worked in Modra school:

1907 Alexander Kraic /Kreutz/

1909 Michal Rapos

Family Jozifek, Kellenberger, Horvath, Rariga

Beginning of 20. century, circa 1918, private transporters: Jozifek, Kellenberger, Horvath

40. years Rariga

Family Dolezal:

Dolezal was also Dolleschal

Family Pesko

Family Pesko see at Pesko or Pesek on ancientfaces.com and here I add that it was also Pescheck, more information will be added. Profesor Kristian Pesko /Peschek/, who wrtoe introduction to book history of Modra from Jan Juraj Schreiber /Schrieber is also Pisar here and Bartos Pisar exist, exist also important Jewish person burried in Bratislava Moshe Schreiber, Mose Schreiber or Chatam Sofer, Sofer means Schreiber what is Clerk, Copyist/, book is dedicated to Daniel Krman, citizen of Zitava, Sixt and profesor of gymnazium Kristian Pesko who wrote also 3 languages Latin-German-Czech verses what is judging of this book:

What and how I shall write about this writting

which Pisar /Schreiber/ wrote now beautiful about his town Modra?

To praise and to his honour is that work related /!/,
because who anyone will read it, he will honour it and love,
you chronikers then, your writtings repare,
that town is famous, now to them lay...

work was used by Matej Bel and here were very many historical books written about Modra and are related and did one with another, also books about evangelic parson and so on, tens of works.

Family Steinbach, Rosenberg, Weber hypotesis

To Stampoch, locality is originally called Steinbach not only from mouth story told to me from ancestors, but also from book of history of Modra, where is it such: Steinbach-Stampoch-Kamenec, but Kamenec means other think than stone brook which I heard, but I donot believe knowing family Stampach ze Stampachu, Czech noble family.

Near Stampoch is Hohenau-Ohnavy-Horne nivy, so I see that translations sometimes does not mean the same as German name for locality, such also are in Modra other names which could be after surnames, Weber-Vibar-Krosnar, Rosenberg-Rozumperky-Ruzovec and others, also Gruben-jamy. These are names of some areas and it is written there what was original name, if was German.

Family Wittgruber

Hypotesis about Pezinok surname Wittgruber is that it is Wittelsbach Gruber that surnames near coat of arm Wittelsbach shows different variations of Wittelsbach, Wittel... see variations on internet.

Family Bojkovsky

Jan Juraj Bojkovsky was the pharmacian in Pezinok, probably genealogy is joined with him.

Family Morawetz

Surname Morawetz from Modra I did not research from other sources yet as I have a lot of different work and also other work and once will research also others more, if the Lord will give, but I suppose that it is Moravcik mentioned in history of Modra, which was called also Modor, Modur, in 13. century was without lord, in 14. century also Matus Cak Trenciansky, who had also Trnie /Ternej/, 1321 Hungarian king Karol Robert I. of Anjou, 1430 the land or village of the lord king, called Modra, Velke Trnie /Csukarfalva - many names had villages in the past and many very different variations in many languages, more see Vlastivedny slovnik alebo atlas obci na Slovensku/, andmisistratior of Modra, officer, Mikulas, son of Konrad officialis de Manige /Malzenice/ et de Modur /Modra/, till 1569 Ctibors and Orsaghs, 1590 occurs here 2 speechers, from leading of town, 12 advisers, prisaznych, Albrecht Modertecz, orator, vineyard masters Juraj Modertetz, 1563 deal of possesion after Agnesa Modertetsch 351 gold in money and 24 pieces of dukats, deal of property between married couple Modertetsch-Weber-Vlcko, between Albrecht Modertetz and Jan Smidt z Vratislava, which wife was daughter of died Martzina Majersky /Maierzky/ z Modry, other agreement of Modertetsch...dealing of properties as vineyards, houses, fields are here noticed, bellow see also Moravcik, I suppose that it comes from royal family of Morava, from king, who ruled there.
My hypotesis is that Morawetz is same as Premysl as Premysls were princes of Morava. I do not know year where occurs Morawetz in the past to know which family could be such, if in the past, so Premysl. Or other kings which are also from Premysls all and related with Premysl as see Friedrich V. of the Wittelsbach king of Bohemia 1619-1620 had ancestors Premysls.

Family Blahovic/I suppose today also Blaho could be/

Kunikunda Balgovizicova, Balgowizych, Blahoic, origin from Morava, first time married to Moravcik, he leaved her and went to Pernek, his second wife died and he married third, he leaved her and married fouth, Kunikunda married Andrej Adamec from Senica, new parson Sommerda made marriage, parson Astronomus did not want, she brought document that that he has other wife, then he made marriage, after death of her husband, she married Blazej Modertetsch and later Pavol Ostravsky /what I suppose is surely of Ostrava/

Family Bach

Konrad Bach heritage after Lemperczegelova, he was from Casta.

1393 occurs in history of Modra these nobles which I give here for genealogical purposes to see predikats and variations of surname: Stibor had brothers Marek, Mikulas and Andrej, new dividing of Modra, kanonics magisters from Bratislava, Mikulas, son of Peter z Vaty /de Wata/ in Slovak vata means cotton, did royal preambulation as king commanded and here did some things also Stefan z Krupej /de Korpona/, Mikulas z Bucian /de Buchan/, to this act came also neighbour Wolfard /Wolfardus/ of Cerveny Kamen. 1397 occurs in Modra also these nobles to add other information some are same I mentioned:

magister Andrej /Pochessy/ was brother of Stibor, sedmohrad duke and Mikulas Vilkovsky /Widkovsky/, other noble is comes Karol de Zobonya /Czorbanya/ of Senec

To family Juran

here existed, if exist I donot know Juranovy zavody /Juran's factory/ in Brno, here existed some chess club.

Family Bard

Concerning my research of J. W. Baird here are also other chessplayers with similar surname, see her at surname Zach on ancientfaces.com, if is someone related close or far, I write:

Family Zoch, Ziak

My hypotesis based on internet is that it is family Zach, Ziak is maybe Zach, but maybe not always I do not know yet. Zach see further box with surname Zach on www.ancietfaces.com/research
But I got information from genealog Stetka that Zoch is from other surname and on this page:
http://www.zoch.szm.sk/
So my hypotesis was not correct, but I leave it here for study example as other things.

Family Modrer

See other families as Modertetz, de Modur and so on what I think surely comes from nobles de Modra, von Modra, de Modur surely, there is mention one family Modrer was living in Bratislava.

Who is related?

I know that many of these people are related and it is possible to find several linies to join how are families.
