This is the story of my grandfather, he started life (1854) in Farmborough in Somerset, married Mary Blacker in Timsbury and later moved to Yorkshire to work as a coal miner. Had 3 children and Mary died in 1888. Thomas remarried another Mary (Cutts) in Hemsworth yorkshire. They had 2 more sons, the youngest being my dad in 1893. I don't know of any other children of theirs, will have to wait (sic) until 1911 census released to find out. Many more of the Wait family stayed in Farmborough and are still there. Census enumerators took liberties and the E was added in about 1881.

Comments about this story:
I don't know about that, one brother was Edwin who dies in Farmborough and is buried in the Churchyard with his wife Mary. So he definitely didn't go to Oz!
