I'm looking for anyone that can help me in my research of the Yeagers of Columbia/ Northumberland PA.
My g.g.grandfather is William Henry Yeager born approx. June 1844 and died Aug 7, 1916. He was married to Lucinda Ewing. They are both buried in Bear Gap cemetery.

He is William's obit:

Wm. H. Yeager aged 73 years, died at his home in Cleveland Township on Monday as the resuly of a paralytic stroke. He had sustained two strokes previous to the fatel attack. For many years he followed cattle dealing and it was in this line that he was widlely known. He gathered the cattle and drove them to Pottsville over the old pike. At one time he worked at Natalie colliery, but of late years he had been living retired. He is survived by his widow and the following children; Mrs Lewis Gable and William C. of Centralia; Clarence E. Mount Carmel; Harry, Kulpmont, and John at home. A brother Daniel, and a sister, Mrs. Jerry Clemens, of Mount Carmel, also survive him.

Comments about this story:
Hi Jeff, If you are still around on this site, I am a Yeager from the PA branch. Are you sure of the middle name as being Henry? My grandfather Harry Isaac Yeager had a father named William about that time.
