Santos Gil was born in Mexico circa 1873. In 1910 Santos appears in the Brewster County, Texas Census as head of household. He is listed as 38 years of age. That would make his birth date 1872. His family consists of his wife Ise who is age 25 (Ise was born in 1885 in Brownsville, Texas) and the children listed were Hortencia b. 1905, Humberto b. 1906 and Maria b. 1908 and Esperanz b. 1909. In the Texas Death Index a Santos Hubio Gil is shown as having died on 2 Dec 1918 in El Paso County, Texas. Since in the 1920 Tom Green, Texas census Ise appears as the head of household and the children listed with her are Humberto age 14 now and Maria age 12 now and Victoria age 5. Victoria was b. 23 Dec 1914 in Millersview, Concho Co, TX.
