My father michael loughlin,s father was from county cork acabinet maker by trade,he dropped the "0" from the family surname,on movingto the liverpool area in the early 30,s.
my father now deceasced (1996)had 9 older siblings, and we still have quite a large extended family not much is known of my grand father,s early life as he died 1943 ish, my mother would know more. one other male relative of my grandfather(,who looks very much like my father )was chief surgeon on the titanic. He died an honourably.I have a picture of him from the national paper the day after the tragedy.. my grandmother a wharton from Black rock in Ireland was left to bring up my 7 aunts and 3 alone, she passed away in 1968. I would be pleased to hear from any other members of the O"Loughlin tribe especially those who migrated as did my grandfather and Nanny "loughlin"
