This is a short history of my line of McKeever's I am Richard K McKeever born 1957 Potter County TX.My Father was Richard F.McKeever born Pittsfield Berkshire County 1932. His Father was Patrick J.McKeever born 1901 Pittsfield,Berkshire County MA.His Father was John J McKeever born 1872 County Armagh Ulster Ireland,his father was John J McKeever born 1833 Armagh,Antrim or Derry Ulster Ireland.His Father was James McIver(McKeever-Campbell) born Ulster Ireland 1808.The use of the McKeever name only occurred somewhere in the time line between John born 1833 and earlier.I know from DNA test that there is a genetic tie with the Irish and some Scotish Campbell's.There is a estimated gap between myself and Colin Campbell(this is the only Campbell listed with the Ale marker #392 of a 14.) of Lochaw of about 4 generations TMRCA, being that I am from 1957 and he from 1254 that would show a 95% chance of Decendancy for the 700 years seperating the two dates,or about 24 generations in actual desendancy.
