David John Eagle was my Grandfather, He was born near Kings Lynne, Not alot is known of this man, except for he had a son of the same name David John Eagle, My Grandfather was a pilot in ww2, He flew Lancaster bombers for bombing raids,All i know of him is that his plane ran out of fuel from a bombing campaign over italy, some stories have said that the plane landed safely but when a search party was sent out to recover no trace of plane or crew was ever found, i would like more information if anyone from the same surname had a family meber who perished the same way ! very intersted in learning about a man i sadly never got to meet.
