Houston Bussell's Civil War Blockade Runner

Great, g. grandfather Thomas Houston Bussell was a blockade runner during the Civil War. He was born about 1830 in Tennessee. He married Angievine Andrews, d/o Churchill Andrews and Abagail Johnson of Tennessee and Holly Spring, Ms. Houston Bussell died either during the Siege of Vicksburg as a blockade runner as told by family historian Evelyn Straughan or in the Red River campaign as related by his son Wm. Blount Busselle. The captain of the ship Houston Bussell was on towed many women and children to shore on a raft before he died of exhaustion after the Yankees' cannon hit the ship. Houston Bussell drowned. His wife didn't know about his death until someone who knew of the circumstances told her. This family mystery hasn't ever been solved.
