Robert N. Darrow, 78, RR 3, Hallstead, Pa., passed away on March 25, 2006 at C.M.C., Scranton, Pa., after a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Lucille Darrow; his children, Susie and Dana Carpenter, S.C., Bobby and Cathy Darrow, Endwell, N.Y., and Joel and Jenny Darrow, Kileen, Tex.; stepchildren, Lucille and Donnie Harvey, Ky., Robert and Nancy Beardsley, Newark Valley, N.Y., Linda and Bill Scott, London, Canada; a sister, Lucille and her husband, Bill Hickox, West Chester, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Robert was a US Army veteran of WWII. He worked for Kroehler's Furniture for 35 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, North Jackson, Pa., and served on the Board of Old Mill Village for 30 years.
A memorial service will be held at Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, 5 Susquehanna Avenue, Hallstead, Pa., on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Riley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Parkinson's Foundation, Southern Tier Chapter, PO Box 72, Binghamton, N.Y. 13903.
