My great aunt, Nellie Kicksee

Linda Kiss
Aunt Nellie was a sister to my maternal grandmother, Grace Smith Barber Anguish. There was a brother too, Alfred perhaps. Aunt Nellie made the best homemade bread ever! She closely resembled my grandmother and so was important to me after the death of my grandmother in 1954. We used to visit Aunt Nellie and Uncle Albert in their Aylmer home from time to time.

Aunt Nellie's son, Lorne, has a daughter born eight days before me. She is the only female cousin my sister, Sharon, and I have who was close to us in age. We spent many happy occasions with Lorne and his wife, Jennie, at their Fort Erie home when we were children. Jennie Kicksee resides at Extendicare in Port Stanley now.
