Stewart Young WALKER was b. Dec 1888 in Des Moines, IA to parents Buffon or Bufford Stewart WALKER (1857-1920) and Mary Ermine YOUNG (1859-1924) who were married 28 Oct 1886 in Des Moines, IA. Stewart was the couple’s only child and he died in 1902 at the age of 14 years and is buried in the Woodland Cemetery in Des Moines, IA.

"Kirk" and Henry had been in a relationship for thirteen years, during which time they lived together. Eventually, Kirk came to feel that she was a caretaker rather than being in a relationship, and they broke up. Henry still loved her and a few years later, Henry encouraged her to also undergo weight loss surgery. She began losing weight and they got back together. They then married in a small wedding with just friends and relatives.
Sadly, Henry passed away just a couple of years after the wedding. Kirk followed in December of 2021, eight years after Henry.

My Combs, Sawyers, Lozar are in Michigan. There is a Doug Sawyer married to a Audrey. His mom was Dorothea C Lozar. Dorothea married a couple times. A Sawyer man. George Westly Combs. And my grandfather Ferris Thompson. Doug Sawyer also has a couple of brothers. So the Walker line is definitely coming to Michigan. To Fenwick Michigan. There is a Marrita Julia Combs to. Along with this Cynthia Combs. I think this Marritta Combs is with George westly Combs. Some where in this line my mom comes about. Oh Gerald Combs too.

i am searching for some info on a Harry Walker......... i believe he lived in or around bigheart oklahoma which is now known as Barndall......... he would have been there around 1931........ i have a picture of my g aunt with a man and on the back of the picture it has the name Harry Walker.......i desprately need to find some answers as to if this is in fact harry walker and if anyone recognizes this picture.

Naomi was the daughter of Phillip Aden Walker and Chloe Mae Hedrick. She married Lovis L. Walker.
Obituary from the "Bluefield Daily Telegraph," Bluefield, WV, November 19, 2009:
"Our precious, wonderful, beautiful mother, Naomi Lois Walker, 91, of Pinoak, died peacefully in her sleep, Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Sandy's Home Sweet Home in Pinoak. born July 6, 1918 at Besoco in Raleigh County, she was the daughter of the late Phillip Aden Walker and Chloe Mae Hedrick Walker. Mrs. Walker was a member of Rich Creek Primitive Baptist Church at Pinoak. She was a former employee of Beckley Manufacturing and Majestic Laundry in Princeton. Her most devoted and cherished duties were to her family, friends and neighbors whom she cherished. She was spirited, humorous and good to all. She loved to quilt with her friends, read newspapers, listen to preachers on the radio and sing. She loved to tend her farm animals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lovis L. Walker, Sr.; one son, Lovis Walker, Jr.; one grandson, Tracy Akers; four sisters, Anna Marie McKeon, Reva Walker, Estes Gibson and Gyle Johnson; two brothers, Andrew Walker and Avil Walker; and stepmother, Mayna McComas Walker. Survivors include four daughters, Delma Birchfield and her husband Abner (Buddy) of Athens, Adele Kossel and her husband Kurt of Beckley, Elizabeth Akers and her fiance Roger Hodge of Princeton, Nancy Semones and her husband Harvey of Lashmeet; and one sister, Peggy Vencill and her husband Marvin of Princewick; and one stepsister, Rema Meadows of Beckley; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Naomi was a mother 'by heart' to Arnold Walker, Jerry Walker and Yvonne Walker-Wiles; Naomi's nephews and nieces; children of Naomi's precious sister-in-law, Deloris Walker Hicks and precious brother-in-law, Tony Preston Walker. They praised her for her love and caring. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton withElder Lewis Lester officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Lashmeet. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

My fiance's mother was adopted at birth from Carmi, Illinois. Her name is Donna Sue and was adopted by Fern and William Cox in 1957. She knows that her mother's name is Nancy Walker whose parents owned a store in Concord, Illinois and had since the civil war. She knows that her father's last name was Travelstead and he lived in Concord, Illinois. He has a sister whose name may be "Flo". She was blind in one eye and used a glass eye. She knows that there is a lot of Indian in her father's side of her blood line.
Donna has dark brown hair and brown eyes. She has two children (a boy, Benjamin and a girl, Angie) She is interested in learning about her natural family's origin and about medical history. my daddy's grandpa was Louis Anderson Walker. He married Sarah Lavonia Parker.
They had several children: Lonnie Homer, Jesse Lee, Lena Mae, Grady & two more children. My grandpa was Homer, he married Nora Haynes.

my dad is Lewis. His mom died when he was about 7. grandpa remarried a lady named Lula Ragsdale. they had a daughter Martha together.
