Adele Curtis
Adele Jordan had multiple names including Adele Stowe and Adele Curtis. Her parents, Carl Jordan and Patsy Carlisle, were both from Texas. When she was a baby, she lived with her parents in San Juan, California. By the time she was 5, the family had moved to El Centro, California, and later to Payson and Lukeville, Arizona, before returning to California in 1940. Adele moved back to Yuma, Arizona, in 1946. At age 35, Adele married Dannie R. Curtis, who was 46, in Imperial County, California. From her two marriages, Adele had five children, including Kris Stowe, Marina Curtis, Lori Curtis, Danny James Curtis, and Gary Stowe. Sadly, Dannie passed away on December 20th, 1984. Tragically, Adele was murdered on July 14th, 1996, by Gary Wayne Snelling. The case went unsolved for many years until a detective reopened it in 2003 and submitted evidence for DNA testing. Snelling was already in custody for "sexual indecency" when his DNA was found to match the evidence from Adele's murder, leading to his arrest. More information on Adele's murder can be found at Killer’s sentence overturned and STATE v. SNELLING. See Adele Curtis: Obituary.

Honora (Curtis) Baker
Married 1884. The Geelong Advertiser, October 31, 1921. AIREY'S INLET. Quite a gloom was cast over the district on Saturday when it became known that Mrs. Richard Baker had passed away. Mr. and Mrs. Baker had lived for several years at the Split Point Lighthouse, and during that period were extremely popular with the residents and visitors to the district. Mrs. Baker was a highly cultured lady and took a very keen interest in social affairs. No local entertainment seemed complete without her presence. Since her removal from Airey's Inlet, Mrs. Baker had resided in Melbourne as her state of health rendered it impossible for her to accompany her husband to Cape Schanck, where he was in charge of the lighthouse station. Mrs. Baker leaves a family of four girls and four boys.

Ora Ralph Curtis
I believe Ora Ralph Curtis to be the grandfather to my children, David Lee Curtis and Autumn Ann Curtis. Their father was Michael David Curtis. I am trying to find out more information. I know Mike was born in Michigan on March 12, 1952. Any help out there? Thank you. Ora Ralph Curtis was my Father and Michael David Curtis is my brother. Mike was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. Moved to Michigan about the age of 5. Ora was my father. Mike was given to my mothers brother, James Mitchell, because our mother had Tuberculosis. At this time, no child could stay with a parent with this disease. Mike was re-united with his mother at the age of five in Lansing, Michigan. At this time, mother had about every organ taken out of her because it was diseased. She had only a few years to live and she wanted time with mike. Unfortunately, mother died in 1962, only a year after re-uniting with Mike. Mike was then taken by social services of Michigan and adopted out to several families.

The Argus, Melbourne. 15th July 1922. CURTIS - WILSON. On the 17th June, at the Presbyterian Church, Cheltenham, by the Rev. Hugh Jones, M. A., assisted by the Rev. J. H. Hewitt, M. A., B. D., Eustace C. ( late A.I.F. ), only son of Mr. E. G. and the late Margaret, and stepson of Martha Curtis, of Malvern, to Helen Isabel, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson, Moorabin Pharmacy, Cheltenham.
Alan Gregory Curtis
The information I have added to this family tree is based on the writings of Aimee Krushka gleaned from her father (early 20’s) and her. Grandfather (early 40’s) This information was then cross referenced with Tasmanian Archives, Birth, Deaths & Marriages Register, Australian National Archives and ancestory.com (Germany) I see no reason to disbelieve the accuracy of Christian or Christopher because at the time of the diary entries neither age nor memory would cloud accuracy. I was prompted to do this research after reading numerous book and viewing a video documentary on history of the North East because: I find it hard to believe that a 18 year old Kruschke son had arrived in Upper Ringarooma with a wife and children and purchased a large parcel of land (Mineral Banks) prior to their discovery of tin. I find it hard to believe that Christian would permit his son (Christopher) 13 years old to go into rugged bush prospecting with George Renison Bell (32 years old) and discover Brothers Home whilst he, Augusta and the baby Louisa were struggling to build a cottage and garden at Fordview. I didn’t happen as Renison Bell did not teach them the art of prospecting until William, Charles and Frederick arrived at Fordview from Mathinna. It was only after they established a weather proof house for their father and two sisters did they venture out prospecting. William had decided by then to prospect alone. (ref dates to Lands & Mining titles) I also do not believe they just anglicised the Kruschke name to Krushka. That is like changing the the surname Cooper to Curtis. Yes you can anglicise a Christian Name but to completely change a surname no. I strongly believe Kruschke was changed to Krushka because of a combination of not understanding what Johanna was saying, the Richmond doctor entering the wrong surname on both birth and death certificates and the Van Deimens Land Dept of Birth, Deaths & Marriages found it easier issue documents to the new arrivals than to go back and change the certificates already in their possession and then to issue new certificates for the rest of the Kruschke family. It is my belief the name Krushka goes back to the town of Krushka in Bulgaria where we can trace the Kruschke family back to. It is a shame Aimee Krushka’s original diary is missing as this information is gleaned from two book based on the diary. The original diary may have been lost when Northview burnt down or it may still be in possession of descendants of the Tregar or Adamson families. My entered details may not be entirely accurate but based on my research I think it’s fairly close. Note: If Christian & Johanna had not moved to Van Deimens Land in 1855 then would be no Krushka’s or linked familes in Australia. Work: APPM (Burnie) 1966 Gordon Ibott Construction (Burnie) 1976 FR Tulk/Westral Insulated Products 1977/2003 (Perth WA) as Sales Manager including a 6months period at Austral Insulated Products in Douglasville, Georgia USA Naval Service included: Escort Duties for Vietnam. ANZAC/Sydney to Manus Island 1967 Strategic Reserve in South East Asia in 1968 Escort duties to Vietnam 1968 SEATO Exercises (Sea Spirit) Search for survivors on HMAS Melbourne / USS Frank E Evans (74 sailors lost) and communication platform at Subic Bay for inquiry. Participated in Operation Navy Help Darwin (Cylclone Tracy)
