Photo of Molly Elizabeth MONTGOMERY Hand, with Husband, Charles Witt Hand, and son Robert Lee Hand. Picture was taken in 1897. Robert Lee Hand is my husband's Grandfather. Molly and Charles died in Loudon County, Tennessee. We have not been able to find any information on Molly's ancestors. If anyone has any information to share, please let us know.

These are pictures of my great grandmother Sarah Suggs Hand. She was born 11/10/1869. She died in 1951. She was married to Wyatte LaFayette Hand. These are pictures of her with her many many many grandbabies, taken in Marion County, Hand Valley Area, Near Yellville.

My Grandmothers House. I remember playing in this yard when was just 3 years old. Me and my cousin Kenny used to roll our selves down the wooden stairs that run up right as you walk in the front door. There was a window at the top of the stairs we liked to look out of. Grandma's room was in the back on bottom floor and kitchen was on Left side the house. I remember it vividly. Also remember sitting with Grandma at the kit table eating peanuts and she said "Sherry, don't eat the stuff around the peanut take that off because I once knew a little boy who choked to death because of that". I also remember her reading stories to me. She treated me kindly. Wish I got to know her longer.

This is Obituary of Claud Hand. He was born 11/8/1903 to Mary Ida (Ida Mae) Cook and Samuel Luther Hand in Tallapoosa co. Ala. He grew up around New Site Sylacauga. Horsebend and Alexander City Ala. He had 2 brtohers Selvia and E.J. and a Sister Eunice Hand Osborne McClain. All lived in the Lanett area for many years. Claud worked in the Lanett Mill in the weave shop as teenager. He also sold Blair products and sold suits door to door during depression. schooling ended in 10th grade making a living was a challenge. He sold insur. for Metropolitan Ins. Co. but found his real talent was in "buy-sell-trade" business that he did for nearly 60 years.

Her parents are - Samuel L. Hand and Mary Ida (maiden name Cook and other married name Walters - 2nd marraige)
Eunice's 1st Brother is - Claud (he married Julia their 2 daughters are Barbara and Gloria)
Eunice's 2nd Brother is - E.J.
Eunice's 3rd Brother is - Selbia/Selby Hand (he married Hazel).
Eunice Mae married Chester Osborne after his 1st wife died (he had 3 children Austin, Mary and Calvin Osborne from 1st marraige).
Eunice and Chester had 3 children, John T., Martha and Mariam Joan Osborne (My Mom).
Chester Osborne died and Eunice remarried to Dewey Oscar McClain and they had 1 daughter, Gail McClain.
P.S. When I was a child I asked my mom to explain this to me so many times before I ever got it right. I knew I'd want to know one day.
