She trained as a dancer and began her career in NYC as a chorus girl. She moved on to the comedy group Second City, where she met and married comedian Dick Schaal. They were married in 1964 and divorced in 1978.
In 1970, while living in Los Angeles. she auditioned for the role of "Rhoda" on the Mary Tyler Moore Show - and starred on the show for 4 years. Her spin-off from the Mary Tyler Moore Show, "Rhoda", was on tv for another 4 years, making her a fixture on 1970s tv.
A popular actress and comedian, she appeared in numerous television shows, movies, and theater productions and was nominated for Emmys (won 4), Golden Globes (won 1), and a Tony . She was also an activist for the E.R.A. and the Women's Liberation Movement and co-founded a charity that feeds the needy in L.A.
In 2009, she was diagnosed with lung cancer and in 2013, with brain cancer, both of which she courageously fought for several years.
On August 30, 2019, Valerie succumbed to her illnesses at age 80. She was survived by her husband, Tony Cacciotti, her husband since 1987, and their (adopted) daughter, actress Cristina Cacciotti.

Earon Michelle Harper was born to Judith A Hizer and Harold Harper (1937-2020), and she had a brother Anthony Lee Harper (1957-1978). Public records show that she may have lived in Louisville Kentucky her entire life.
Earon had children Eric, Ebony, Erica and Ebreona and one grandson, Eysayiah. After Earon's death, her parents, Harold and Judith Harper, raised her children Erica and Ebreona. Her grandson, Eysayiah, also spent a lot of time at their home.
On May 18, 2006, Earon and her 2 year old daughter were shot multiple times when someone broke into their home. Earon died from her wounds but 2 yr old Erica survived, but lost vision in her right eye. In 2009, James Quisenberry was convicted and will be eligible for parole after 20 years. He was found guilty of 2nd degree manslaughter and facilitation to attempted murder. Kenneth Williams was convicted of murder and attempted murder and the jury recommended life without parole.

Once when Buffalo Bill Cody was traveling through their town with his Wild West Show, his father told him to go down to the side track where Buffalo Bill had his privte railroad car & introduce himself to "Col. Cody" as Asa Harpe's son. Wilkie did this & Buffalo Bill treated him to a free pass to his show.
He was very militarily minded as evidenced by his long association with the Army.'

For 15 years now I I have ran into a brick wall in the early-mid 1800's with my dad's side of the family (Harper). I want to ask all you Harpers to please accept my apology if this is a true story that I am about to tell ya'll or just gossip/rumors. I was told by a very old Harper relative that she heard as a child that my great great grandfather William Bradley Harper (a schoolteacher somewhere) had his surname changed from Hopier (spelling?) to Harper (somewhere), because a child fell into his wagon wheel and died. She didn't know whether he was running from the law and that's why he changed his name or he just wanted to hide that skeleton in his closet. Recently I did a word search on the net "killed by a wagon wheel" and only one name of a child showed up named "Isaac Clark b: June 16, 1838. He fell from a wagon, Sept. 27, 1845, and the wheel passed over his head, almost instantly killing him. page 153" from a "Records of the descendants of Hugh Clark of Watertown MA , Author John Clark, A.B. Call # CS71.C6. Any help/suggestions from anyone would be appreciated very much!

He married Tryphena Stone (born Sept. 15, 1787 Stockbridge, Berkshire, MA). They lived in Broome County, NY. Their children were Alexander Hamilton, George, Ruth (Hopkins), Charles, daughter-unknown, Harriet Jane (Severson), John M. and Betsey E.

The only information I have was found online, plus what a researcher sent me.
My line is Ruth, who marred William Clark Reynolds Hopkins in Broome County, NY. They later moved to Kendall County, IL. No one in my line has any information on Oliver.
We would like to find descendants of Oliver's, in case they can add information...any letters, documents, etc the family may have handed down.
Betsey E. owned the family Bible in 1909. She was unmarried. What happened to that Bible?
Oliver was my great, great, great, great grandfather. Really want to connect with others in his family.
