He was one of 11 children. James, Earl, Frank, Tessie, Elva, Mary, Helen, Myrtle, Eva & Ruth. He married Elizabeth Kakaley (1922-2018) on December 5, 1945 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Thomas grew up in Sheppton and lived out his life there. He enlisted in the Navy on April 21, 1944 and released on November 2, 1945. They had 3 children: Keith, Arlene, Thomas, Jr. Thomas was buried in St. Paul's Union Church (Old White Church) in Ringtown, Pennsylvania. Findagrave.com memorial #9055680.
