The 'john' was originally chien, pronounced in eastern europe as 'Chawn.' Thus, 'Mosurinjohn' means 'Of the royal house of John.' The Mosurinjohns from Bukovina, now part of Romania, are said to have been ethnically/racially Gypsy Roma. The Gypsy Roma were originally from northeastern India, migrating away from wars into Europe, and settling strongly in the area which became Romania.
