Lars Gyllenhaal's chapter in his new book ( "Svenskar i Strid mot Hitler - I amerikansk krigstjänst 1941-45" ) was released in August 2018 and its English version "Swedes at war-Willing worriors of a Neutral Nation, 1941-1945" is now available on Amazon etc. and shows clearly that Helge O Persson still is remembered also for his duty in the US Army as "General Pattons Carpenter" in the 1637th Engineer battalion and one of the few Swedes that served both in Europe and in Asia.
