I have an old studio photograph of Mr. POST which was taken at the O. Erickson Studio in Clayton, IA and given to Mrs. Christin POST of Cannon Falls, MN. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Mr. POST appearing to be in his 30's at the time. I believe that this is a photograph of Andrew John POST who was married to Anna Christina ERICKSON.
Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Andrew and his family:
Andrew John POST was b. 20 Jul 1854 in Sweden, and he married Anna Christina ERICKSON (1851-1943) on 15 Nov 1879 in Red Wing, MN. The couple had 6 children including Richard Samuel; Ruth; Sara Amelia; Reuben; Esther Annette; and Leon Benjamin Richard POST, all born between 1880 and 1893. The family moved to Fowler, CA in 1888. Andrew died 20 Jan 1912 in California and is buried in the Fowler Cemetery in Fowler, CA. His wife Anna moved to Fresno, CA in 1919 and she died in Fresno, CA on 15 Mar 1943, at the age of 91 years. Anna’s obituary lists her surviving family members including daughters Mrs. Esther VENTER of Fresno, CA; and Mrs. Sarah DRURY of Fellows, CA; and a grandson Richard VENTER of Taft, CA.
