Land Records list him as a resident of Washington County with wife Margaret. Daniel’s known child David B. Souders appears to be the youngest male boy in this census. Daniel’s father was Jacob W. Souders. Jacob Souders passed away in 1820. His wife Elizabeth Rohrer Souders is listed in the 1820 census as head of household with 2 males and 5 females. William's age based on obituary write-ups and census indicates he would be one of the three young men 16/26 years old of either both Elizabeth or Daniel. William's daughter Mazella Suman Stockman obituary listed her parents as Daniel Souders and Sophia Weddle.(The News Frederick Md. Jan. 24,1944) Up until this time family only knew his given name to be William. This suggest Daniel Souders may indeed be Daniel William Souders father.
