Ernest was born in Galgate Lancashire on 28th July 1919. The only son of Ernest James Stibbons and Deborah Anne Stibbons (nee Whiteside) known as Annie. Ernest had an older sister Dorothy Wilcocks, (nee Stibbons, my Grandmother), born 1915 Kirkham, Lancashire. Ernest was a police boy Clerk in Lancashire Constabulary (seaforth, Liverpool) then at 19 years old became a Police Constable first stationed in Garstang on 18th June 1939 then on 14th Jan 1940 Manchester. On the 20th August 1942 Ernest was called up for service in WW2 under the terms of the police and fireman war service act 1939. Ernest was killed in Action in Italy on 14th September 1944 aged 25 years.

Ernest was born in Galgate Lancashire on 28th July 1919. The only son of Ernest James Stibbons and Deborah Anne Stibbons (nee Whiteside) known as Annie. Ernest had an older sister Dorothy Wilcocks, (nee Stibbons, my Grandmother), born 1915 Kirkham, Lancashire. Ernest James Stibbons, my gt grandfather, was born in Foxley Norfolk, to parents Heber and Rosanna Stibbons. Ernest moved to Poulton le Fylde as a police constable and lived in the police house in the centre of Poulton Le Fylde. He met his wife Deborah Anne Whiteside, a schoool teacher and they married in St Chads church near to the police station. Ernest was soon stationed to Kirkham, where their daughter, my Grandmother, Dorothy was born in 1915 . They moved to Galgate where their only son Ernest Whiteside Stibbons was born in 1919. The family moved to Huyton near Liverpool, Lancashire, so Ernest Could take up a post as police sergeant. Eventually the whole family moved to 13 South view Waterloo, Crosby, Lancashire, when Ernest became a Police inspector. Ernest died in 1950.
